Ms. Sheila Mawer - Research Fellow

Coming from the unusual mix of a veterinary and environmental background, Sheila joined the CEC in April 2005. Previous environmental work has concentrated on the sustainable management of household waste by local authorities and an ecological footprinting study of household consumption habits. Her current work at CEC is divided between the Kerbside Best Practice project, working with Scottish local authorities to evaluate and maximise returns from kerbside recycling schemes, and working with Dr. Charles Russell to develop the Carbon Emissions programme.
