Dr. Jonathan Walton

Dr Jonathan Walton is a Research Fellow with SCG. His research interests include communications for sustainability and sustainability reporting and assessment. His current work, undertaken in conjunction with both academic and industrial partners, examines metrics, models and toolkits for urban sustainability and environmental equity (project website: www.sue-mot.org.uk). He is a member of a number of organisations related to Sustainable Development. Jonathan previously trained as a physicist and later became interested in the role of science and technology in society and the repercussions for sustainability. He has undertaken work with NGOs and Local Government on sustainability initiatives and indicators and with industry reporting on the environmental performance of materials.
